The important role of the presence of UKKLP in Islamic Boarding Schools

Tebuireng.online– In an effort to improve the cleanliness and health of the pesantren environment, the Jombang District Health Office held Healthy Islamic Boarding School Workshop 2025Thursday (7/17). This event involved seven boarding schools and seven puskesmas from the area around Jombang Regency.

One of the speakers in this activity was Ustadz Muhammad Kaffal, Coordinator of UKKLP Pondok Putra Pesantren Tebuireng. In his presentation, he explained the UKKLP trip in overcoming various cleaning problems in the cottage environment, especially in the male santri dormitory.

“At the beginning I took off, many problems such as books and books were scattered, garbage piled up, and a messy santri room. This was a big challenge that we had to fix,” he said in the 1st floor hall of the Yusuf Hasyim Tebuireng Building.

To answer this problem, UKKLP designed six main programs as a long -term solution. The six programs include: Monthly Meeting, Roan Akbar (Mass Community Service), Socialization of Cleanliness, Regional Responsible Program (PJ), Husada Santri Assistance, and Ubudiyah Santri Assistance.

“Alhamdulillah, thanks to the six programs and teamwork, in these three years we see an increase in santri awareness of the importance of cleanliness and neatness,” explained Ustadz Kaffal.

He stressed that the role of UKKLP is very important as the frontline in protecting a clean and healthy pesantren environment. In addition to building awareness of clean living, UKKLP also encourages the character of students who care about health.

“UKKLP is not only in charge of maintaining cleanliness, but also guarantees the health of the pesantren environment. Our target is to form students who have character and love a healthy lifestyle,” he added.

At the end of the delivery, Ustadz Kaffal stressed that the success of the UKKLP program was inseparable from the support of many parties, especially the santri coaches in each room unit.

“We held a socialization and meeting with the coaches and students, training the cadres of Santri Husada to actively campaign for a clean and healthy life, and routinely hold Roan Akbar“He concluded.

To note, attended the event was the ranks of the Health Office, representatives from the Puskesmas, Gus Ghofar, Mrs. Nyai Aisyah, Representatives of Tebuireng Pukestren, Food Services, Division of the Cleaning Unit and Neatness of the Pesantren Scope (UKKLP), and the Santri Husada Tebuireng team.
